Transliteration

Gham zamane ka yoon saja daala,

Khoobsurat usey bana daala.

Ab na chaahat rahi musarrat ki,

Maine uss naam ko bhula daala.

Waqt nishtar numa bana jab bhi,

Muskura kar gale laga daala.

Shaadmaani nazar churati hai,

Naqsh uska jo tha mita daala.

Dil mein khwabon ki jo imarat thi,

Maine chun chun ke sab gira daala.

Saltanat ab ghamo ki qayam hai,

Dard ka ik jahaan bana daala.

Ab zaroorat nahi hai phoolon ki,

Khaar ko sej par bichha daala.

Kyun rahe darr Shakeel duniya mein,

Jab charaag-e-alam jala daala.
